Designer Planning will liaise directly with your client to design and draft your next new build, extension, renovation or house raising project. They are solely focused on getting your ideas on to paper quickly and efficiently and provide all the plans you need for your Private Building Certifier.
Design Options
Plans
All services include a site measure + on-site consultation to discuss design options with a Building Designer. Full set of house plans, proposed elevations and everything that you need to begin the engineering process are included in the service. Engineering can be added on for an additional cost. With engineering, this is everything you need to give to your private certifier and builder.
All plans (without engineering) have a 5 – 8 days turnaround!
Structural Engineering
Designer Planning ensures the structural integrity of your new home, house raise, extension and more. They have great working relationships within the industry and can guide you through the process & work closely with these professionals and provide in-expensive design solutions for your home. Designer Planning pride themselves on not over-engineering house plans, as it can become a major construction expense. If you already have your house plans completed by another architect or building designer, then Designer Planning can provide a Structural Engineering Form 15 for your private building certifier.
Structural Engineering includes:
- Soil Testing
- Structural engineering report for foundations
- Structural engineering plans for dwelling
- Form 15 structural engineering certificate
Price ranges between $600-$3300 and each job is quoted on individually.
In order to produce the above documents, Designer Planning require the Building Design, Architect or Drafting plans to be provided. Preferably these would be provided as the computer files. T’s & C’s Apply.
Steps to Get Your Project Up & Running
At Designer Planning we provide an efficeint and cost-effective drafting house plan service to our clients. We know what councils and builders want to see on their plans, in consultation with our clients we can prepare a complete picture for your project.
Once a soil test is complete our soil engineers can design correct footings and foundations. Designer Planning can include this as part of our service.
Our engineers sign off on the structural integrity of the project and ensure that the project is constucted in the correct way. Designer Planning can include this as part of our service. If you already have plans prepared by another architect or building designer, we can finalise the engineering for your project.
This step may or may not be required depending on the scope of your project. We can advise at the begining of the process.
A quote for private certifcation can be obtained from any registered certifier. The private certifier requires plans that we develop with our clients along with the soil and structural engineers plans to grant building approval. We can recommend several private certifiers at this stage.
